The Office of Inspector General (OIG), part of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), released a report this week stating that more than 290,000 illegal alien children who crossed the border are completely unaccounted for, meaning nobody knows where they are. And Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tex.) says that Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are responsible.
Because of the Biden regime’s open borders policies – and because of bipartisan bickering over the passage of legislation to secure the borders – human traffickers are successfully bringing in illegal migrant children who are being shipped off to who knows where, only to never be seen again, in many cases.
“It is not hyperbole when I say that the Biden-Harris administration is the final leg of a global human trafficking network,” Sen. Cruz tweeted. “290,000 children who crossed the border are currently unaccounted for.”
“ICE has no way of knowing if the children are being exploited, forced into sex-work, or joining gangs. We wouldn’t tolerate any foreign nation moving hundreds of thousands of children into bondage, and we shouldn’t tolerate it here. We should demand more from the Biden-Harris administration.”
A wild new report was dropped today from the DHS Inspector General.

(Related: It is really starting to look as though Robert F. Kennedy Jr. might join forces with Donald Trump to take on Biden-Harris this fall.)
To only blame Biden-Harris for this atrocity is somewhat shortsighted as human trafficking, and specifically child trafficking, has been taking place under both Democrat and Republican regimes for decades. Things have likely worsened under Biden, though, and perhaps Sen. Cruz is right that Biden-Harris represents the last stand of the child traffickers.
The apparent hope is that Donald Trump will win another turn and take out the last remaining vestiges of human trafficking across the U.S. southern border with Mexico. It could happen, at least according to Sen. Cruz and others who have faith that Trump will deliver.
“These kids deserve justice,” wrote someone on X. “We deserve to have a government that won’t be a part of child trafficking.”
Another told Sen. Cruz that many Americans have been warning about the child trafficking problem for years, but that only in recent months are some politicians choosing to take notice.
“Just like the ‘we have 12 million illegals here’ figure here in the USA when we know its [sic] actually 35-40 million, now add Biden’s 20 million newcomers.
Another warned that no matter who is in office, the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) as long as it exists will continue trafficking not just children but also guns across the southern border.
“I am beyond sick and tired of politicians constantly voicing their concerns about the serious issues our country is grappling with on social media,” said another to Sen. Cruz. “It’s time for action, not just words. Taxpayers don’t fund your lavish lifestyles so that you can spend all your time jaw-jacking on X. Get to work, man.”
Another asked Sen. Cruz what his plan is to address the problem regardless of who wins the White House.
“Are we going to talk about it or is anyone actually going to be held accountable?” this person asked. “The federal government is on autopilot. POTUS is relaxing on another vacation. Border Czar is ducking interviews and pressers. We’ll wait …”
